Lady Bird Johnson visits Arthur Robertson's home and farm.

05/21/1964

Robert Knudsen

Lady Bird Johnson's visit to economically depressed parts of rural Kentucky (Cumberland Plateau)

Warshoal Branch, Kentucky

{LBJWEB} {CTJALWL} CTJ (wearing a green outfit & black boots she wore during the walk to the farm) and others are viewed from inside through a rustic doorway. CTJ is holding a small bouquet of red & yellow wildflowers ("snake-tongue" and "rooster-comb") which the Robertsons' daughter, Judy Ann, gave her. The thin man standing next to her (blue shirt, tan pants, hands in pockets) is almost certainly Arthur Robertson.
