Bill Hanks, retired US Secret Service agent who was on the trip said Mrs. Johnson was on a National Geographic Society trip (as a trustee on their Board), the photo was likely taken by someone from National Geographoc who was traveling with the group. Bill said the photo was taken in the Olduvai Gorge on the Serengeti Plain in Tanzania, He said they camped out there from 06/29/1975 to 07/02/1975
